While a website is still a must-have for any business, it should not be looked on as being a ‘silver bullet’.

Rather, it’s another – albeit big – tool in your marketing toolbox.

We’ve been designing, developing and building websites since 2000, so we’ve got pretty good at it.

How are websites put together? Watch our quick guide to the website design process…

Responsive Website Design

You know when you visit a website and it adapts itself to the size of the screen on which you are viewing it?

That’s called Responsive (or Adaptive as some folk prefer to call it) Web Design.

If you’re viewing it on a big desktop monitor you get large, gorgeous images and well laid out content. View the same site on your phone and it’s responded to the different screen size – you may not be shown those huge images as they lose their impact on the small screen and can eat up your precious data allowance.

We’ve been building responsive websites as standard for the last few years which is just as well – Google now gives bonus points to responsive websites, favouring them over old-style sites.

If your website is not responsive, you could well find it slipping down the search engine rankings.

And with more than half of website views now being made on a mobile device, it’s more important than ever that your website is responsive.

We’ll not only ensure that your new website looks great across the myriad of devices that are available, we’ll can also adapt the content depending on the device on which the device is being viewed.

How much does a website cost?

One of the most commonly asked questions we’re asked is “How much does a website cost?”

Well, it’s akin to ‘how long is a piece of string?’ Each project is different and the cost depends on a range of factors.

For a very basic website, though, the minimum you should be looking at is £500+VAT.
